Depression in Children and Adults Adults with depression, as a rule, react as an adult person. They have a sad face, they are weak and inactive, they cry, they are in a fever, have insomnia, and have the feeling of guilt and lack of self-confidence.

Children and teenagers who experience the same feeling try to hide it as it could be a signal to their friends and parents. They disguise their true feelings. But some of them drink, take drugs, they are hostile to others, and commit illegal acts. Almost half of teenagers using drugs begin to do it during the depression. Unfortunately, adults often observe only the external manifestations, and they are not trying to look intently and understand the reasons. Many parents are guilty because they are not able to hear what their children say, they do not want to see the problems of their children. It indicates that they do not cope with their parental functions. Often parents react to the depression of their children by irritation which makes the situation worse.
